HID Epoxy Tag

HID Epoxy Tag

RFID Epoxy Tag Description

HID Global Epoxy Tag RFID transponders are constructed for optimal performance under harsh conditions. They are resistant to fuels, mineral oils, petroleum and salt mist. They repel moisture – even in high temperature, high pressure washes.

Unrelenting performance despite temperature fluctuations allows Epoxy Tag transponders to adapt to demanding applications. These tags can tolerate repeated autoclaving in medical applications, and plastic injection molding processes for permanent embedding into industrial components, equipment or containers.

Each micro thin Epoxy Tag device has a smooth surface, which may be imprinted with customized visual codes or artwork.

The Epoxy Tag Keyfob features a unique chip that optimizes NFC program security, utility, and ease-of-implementation when deployed with HID Trusted Tag® Services, a cloud-based authentication platform that adds a non-replicable identity to each interaction.

Key Features

  • Durable – resists moisture, oils, petroleum; tolerates mechanical vibration and shock
  • Thermally stable – withstands exposure to temperatures from -40° F to 284° F (-40° to 140° C)
  • Surface printable – enables tags scannable by both RFID and visual ID readers

HID Global Brick Tag passive contactless transponders easily integrate into RFID applications requiring discreet placement of small, featherweight tags that deliver sustainable performance.

Brick Tag Ceramic units are optimized for placement on metal assets, such as tools, weaponry and surgical instrumentation. The hard shells encasing these tiny UHF transponders shield them from exposure to autoclave sterilization and demanding industrial environments. Their 512-bit memory is readable and writable from up to 3.3 ft (1 m).

The Brick Tag ABS Vigo™ transponder is among the smallest HF tags available. These units are assembled using patented DBond™ Vigo™ technology that enables HID Global to produce tags in thinner, smaller formats without compromising performance. The tags provide a full 64-bit UID and 1024-bit user memory, optionally usable for NFC applications.

The epoxy Brick Tag Nova and Brick Tag HDX low frequency transponders are only 0.12 in (3.0 mm) thick. The Nova tag’s 160-bit read-write memory is easily programmed to suit custom applications. The HDX version is read-only, and meets ISO 11784 and ISO 11785 standards. Both withstand extreme temperatures, and provide high water, chemical and shock resistance. Widely used in key fobs for automobile immobilizer theft prevention systems, these devices are also ideal for tool or cable inventory and tracking systems.

Key Features:
  • Small footprints – Embeddable in space-restricted applications.
  • Exceptionally durability – Withstand physical stress, are dust tight, and resistant to water, chemicals, acids and temperature extremes.
  • Versatility – Available in LF, HF and UHF; may be customized to fit application requirements.

Durable HID Global Bin Tag transponders offer superior resistance to water, salt mist, mineral oil and petroleum, as well as high tolerance to shock and temperature variations. HID Bin Tag transponders perform exceptionally well, withstand abuse and help waste management organizations achieve optimal data integrity easily and efficiently. The tags install easily into standard nests manufactured into most waste bins, including metal bins and DIN 30745 plastic bins.

Low frequency (LF), high frequency (HF) or UHF configurations are available. All HID Global waste management RFID transponders perform superbly when mounted on plastic containers. For metal bins, HID offers specialized transponders designed for consistent performance in environments where the metal surroundings might otherwise negatively affect reading performance due to signal reflection.

For read-write capability, the Bin Tag HF version includes 1024-bit EEPROM, and the UHF version provides a 512-bit user memory plus 96-bit EPC.

Key Features

  • Easily integrated – standard sizing for easy installation or retrofit.
  • Tamper resistant – custom spanner screw drive to deter fraudulent removal.
  • Broad compatibility – a choice of frequencies and memory capacities address common global installations and protocols.
  • Reliable, consistent performance – no line-of-sight required, with options for mounting on plastic or metal bins.
